Menu Plan and Shopping List

by admin on December 16, 2008

Planning your menu can be a great help for weight managment and for keeping yourself organised and saving money by ensuring you eat everything you buy. Download your free blank menuplanner1  & shoppinglist here.

To get started try by planning all your dinners. Even if you know you’ll be out one night, plan what you expect to eat. Try using a healthy cookbook to give you inspiration. Check out all the options at www.greatideas.net.au under the cookbooks section.

Great Ideas in Nutrition is an online nutrition bookshop which stocks only the books and resources that Australian Dietitians recommend, so you can trust what you find.

Most of the cookbooks listed have pictures, and nutrition information available so you can check the calorie content of your serve.

While you’re still looking at the recipe you’ve chosen, list all the ingredients on your shopping list so you’ve got every fiddly little herb and spice it takes to make the dish perfectly.

Stick to your shopping list! You know anything else you buy will be wasted ’cause all your meals are booked up.

It’s amazing how much time is wasted staring into the fridge and the pantry wondering “What am I going to cook tonight?”. Problem solved with a bit of planning!

Hi there,

I just had my plate delivered yesterday. I bought the package which contained the plate, the bowl, a snack guide booklet and the Portion Perfect book. I would highly recommend getting the book, it really helps with assembling a balanced diet, for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
